I've read so many posts on float heights.... most of them say that they should be set BELOW the indication line on the carbies. Problem for me is, it just does not seem possible for me to lower the floats down that much. The closest I can get is about 5mm above the line, and that's by bending the plastic floats themselves (holding them in front of a heater, bending them and letting them cool). The needles seem fine. Smooth and conical. Seats seem fine. They have no problems blocking off fuel, it's just that when I bend the tabs up that much my needles are already stopping the fuel flow before it starts. My bike is a 3LN model. Any ideas anyone?
fzr float hight Hi had the same problem found out of the forum that its 10.5 above the line where the fzr400 4.6 6.5 below so you will never get it below as you have found and if you do it will stave for fuel above 10,000rpm good luck [
*boomy voice from clouds* You have my attention. */boomy voice from clouds* I'll hold off on that until perhaps someone else can confirm this info is correct as i haven't had my head inside an FZR250 for quite some time now.
*squeaky voice from the side* I'm listening.... /*squeaky voice from the side* The only FZR250's I've seen in person, were about 20 years ago, from about 30 feet a way, at a racetrack, and they were in motion.......
