hey guys, i finally found the solution to the question i asked there a few weeks ago but now im confused!! the story goes like this, i brought my bike in for a service there a couple of days ago and asked the mechanic if he could find out what was making my bike not want to rev past 12,000 rpm, he stripped and balanced the carbs, adjusted the exup, tried evrything he could think of and although the bike was much better there was still just a "little bit in it" so running out of ideas quickly and starting to get desperate he eventually took the clocks off a scrapped bike he had and voila!! problem sorted!! apparently there is a restrictor in the back of the clocks!! so my question is how the **** is there a restrictor in the back of the clocks??? i always thought they had to be in the bike e.g the airbox, carburator, exhaust etc. can anybody out there shed any light on this as im VERY confused <!-- s:-? --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_Eyecrazy.gif" alt=":-?" title="Eye Crazy" /><!-- s:-? -->
I have no clue... perhaps it has something to do with a small sensor in the tachometer so when rpms get high they feedback to the cdi unit??
