Anyone purchased 3LN3 intake manifolds recently? Mechanic has advised me to replace them while they have the bike apart, just wondering if there's a particular seller to use . I see a few on ali/ebay.

Check Impex for prices on OEM - differing reports on the ones from Aliexpress, IIRC @Gert got some from Aliexpress and had issues with sealing where the screw/bolt goes in underneath to seal where the vacuum balance gets connected.

Pretty sure @GreyImport and @Linkin may also have some experience and knowledge to share

My FZR250 has a Chinese set (Aliexpress I think) and they have done the job .... the bike has been parked up awhile now so no idea if they are still 100% ok
I also put a set on the FZR400 not long ago but untested as its a project in (slow) motion

As Ruckus mentioned I think some people had problems or "poor" quality issues with some of them

    I bought these

Carburetor Carb Intake Manifold Boots Joint For Yamaha FZR400 1989-1994 91 92 93 | eBay

From the same seller .... cheap as

Carburetor Intake Manifold Boots Joint For Yamaha FZR250R FZR250 1989-1994 | eBay

Appreciate the heads up but I get an error 405 -

    "
    Error 405 Not allowed
    Not allowed

    Error 54113
    Details: cache-akl10332-AKL 1690111211 772013414

    Varnish cache server"

6 weeks is far too long for me anyway, i dont know how long the aliexpress ones will take but will have to just take a punt on them or hope mechanic can source something . cheers to you and @GreyImport

They're listed as available on Impex - but the prices OUCH $45.80USD - shipping is ~35USD from Impex

    https://en.impex-jp.com/catalogs/mo...-00ge-europe-2478/intake-manifold-100514.html

    Part numbers are:
    3LN-13586-00-00
    3LN-13596-00-00
    3LN-13597-00-00
    3LN-13598-00-00

You 'shouldn't' get stuck waiting 6 weeks, BUT that said Impex orders the parts in then ships, so when they list something as available, that doesn't mean it's in their possession and it's not always correct.
The process does take some time.

    Webike is a little cheaper
    https://japan.webike.net/ps/+3LN-13586-00/#!search&p.k=+3LN-13586-00

No direct experience with webike - @GreyImport what's the place you got parts from in a jiffy?
    Wemoto?
Just checked them - nothing listed

I need the uppers as well, it's part #23 on the Impex intake diagram, any tips on what to search for on Ebay? Impex wants roughly $100NZD incl shipping.. Seems pretty f-----g expensive if you ask me

does the peterstevens website even work for you? keep getting that error 405 not allowed error when I try to access it. and have tried using an AU web proxy to fool their server into thinking I am in AU to no avail. I don't see why they would block access to a kiwi, it's not like they have to pay for postage.

One of our members used the Chinese ones and replaced them every 12 months as the rubber cracks after one year.

As long as they get it running, I don't care :D This has/will be a painfully expensive exercise in vintage motorcycles and as I'm planning to move over to kangaroo land next year she's going to get sold anyway. But not before I put some serious miles on her and try to recoup some fun out of my empty wallet...
