That's it, you can't go wrong.
Un do & tighten the spring bolts evenly to reduce the chance of crossing a thread & to keep everything nice & square, & don't overtighten them, theyre only little bolts.
Maybe you should just pinch a loaf of bread & get caught, they might deport you to the colonies, NSW is nice, QLD has solo bike rego that's nice too. That's how we all got here ! Bugger all that rain.

Those plates and springs look fine ... kevlar are better , but anything will be better than whats in there

    http://www.mrclutch.com.au/clutch_plate_materials.html

Im halfway thru a 'how to' on doing the clutch ... Ill finish it so you have a guide

I suggest you get a tension/torque wrench with a zero to 100Nm range.

The basket lock nut should be torqued as do the spring bolts .... the bolts only have a 6Nm tension and they need to be all the same so its all balanced when working.

Depends how grooved the basket is as to whether it has to come out or not.

My gasket .... It fits the Zeal also .... dont know if they were officially imported over there

Grey, that could be what caused the noise. Some of that black silicone blocking an oil way.

Thats the spare motor .... the clutch cover on the main motor had a proper gasket but anything is possible elsewhere.

@zixxer ... I cant see any point in using it as u just dont know what gets squeezed out into the internals

The only reason would be in an emergency repair in the middle of nowhere

Even if you cant get the original part u can always cut one.

Im on a tight budget so they will have to do really :-/ ive been meaning to buy one with ages grey also new socket set ive ruined my last two sets!

6nm is not very much atall the guide would be fantastic tbh ive done plenty clutch kits on cars never a bike before, should I get a basket in case? Are they expensive? My clutch sounds like a bucket of bolts when in neutral after a ride....

Ive never heard of a zeal? I just was on a English website put in my bike details and it came up with more than one gasket would it be safe to assume we share the same crank case clutch cover gasket id hate to use gasket maker and by the looks of that engine there thats just cat!

They all sound like a bucket of bolts in neutral and clutch out, its a thrust bearing or something.

Zeal is the naked version of the FZR with a detuned motor ....FZX250

Always go by part numbers when searching .... parts can be shared over many years and models and also other machinery such as jetskis, ATVs , snowmobiles etc

Clutch basket will probably just need cleaning up ... grooves filed down

The other thing u need to check is if the steel plates are burnt

The bottom set came from my bike ..... the dark on the steels isnt old oil , its 'burnt' steel

The second one is what I used ..... its a full kit with steels and kevlar fibres + springs

Theres 5 springs because the kit fits the FZR400 also (from memory )

That's cool but is it for scavenging or sound deadening? Did you do anything to yours when you changed muffler?
