    Hi,

Just wondering who went to the motorcycle show down the coast this weekend and what they thought of it.  What was your bike of the day?  who do you think was the best exhibitor down there?  Do you think it was worth the $20 price of admission and $10 parking?

    Hey Nat

Good to see you at the show,  I kinda walked away a tad underwhelmed , Im sure I could have seen all those bikes if I did a run down Moss street and then dropped into Brisbane Motorcycles at Lutwyche. I appreciate putting on a show costs $$$, but even Honda didnt make an appearance.. seriously WTF ?

I also thought many of the vendors who were there didnt really have mind blowing show specials either...  would have been great to see some clubs make an appearance or even custom bike builders .. ie Destino,  Extreme Creations et al

Having said that, it was a good ride down and it great to see so many bieks in the car park, I had to laught there was a Z900 in the carpark leaking so much oil, Im not sure he would have made it home.

    Hi Chris,

Yeah it was great to catch up with you and Phil on the weekend.  Mate i totally agree with you.  For the outlay of the hard earned it think it was prett ordinary.  I would have had more chance of finding what i was looking for by going straight to the bike shops.  I went there thinking it would be a great place to look at and compare jackets and gloves (i need new ones) but apart from Shark Leathers and i think Team Moto had a very small display of gear there really was nothing.  The whole accessory side of it was very dissapointing, no exhaust reps not even any memorabillia (models, dvd,s,shirts) stands. Even the live shows weren't really well advertised, apart from a small board right down the front there was nothing that i saw to let you know what was going on and when.  And as for Honda - p!ss poor effort.

Thats my 2 cents for what it's worth.  But would be interesting to hear how others went.

On a positive note my bike of the day would have to be the OSET mini electric kids bikes.  Basically miniature trials bikes with electric motors 12v, 24v and 36v in 3 different frame sizes.  They seem to borrow quite a few parts from mountain bikes but look like great fun.  A very quiet and neighbour friendly alternative to my boys peewee 80

OK, time for my 2 cents worth.
Was it the greatest show on earth, not even close. Which stand stood out the most, have to say Ducati. Kawasaki stand was an absolute joke as you were standing on top of one another. Ktm put most bikes on racks, bit hard to sit on?
The chap from FMT (fold my trailer) put on a reasonable demo but he's selling bike trailers.
Sad to say but there didn't seem to be any life in any of the stands, no great deals for show attendees.
There was much more to see in the car park by way of bikes. Hey after a warm ride down, the air con was good!
Being my first time at this show, a little disappointed.  :icon_scratch:

    Hi,
For me the bike show was great. Living in Northern NSW most of the bike shops here don't stock a huge range so i got to see most of them in the one place, however i was a little disappointed with the accessories side was hoping to look at some leather jackets but bugger all on display. It was a great day for riding though

i agree with chris this has to be the worst show iv ever had the pleasure of paying to see
most stand where from moss st as i know a few of the sale staff i asked about a few bikes and was told just go see the dealer in brisbane
i supose i was spoilt with all the big shows ineurope and the states but next time i think il give it a miss and fly to sydney its sad when you have to leave the state to look at whats new in the motorcycle world
