    Well it's been a while, but made a start on the Katana at least. They are Mikuni carbs - but simpler than the FZR250 ones:

    In 1984 I used to stop in bondi road and oogle the new Katana 750 pop up in Bondi motorcycles window on the way home from my late night cleaning job. Quite pathetci really. It was the only new motorcycle I have ever purchased. Shows how much costs have changed, back then I could rent a Sydney Eastern suburbs unit with the girlfriend, go to uni full time supported by a couple of cleaning jobs and buy a new bike..Don't think many self supported uni students these days would be able to do that. Of course I did live on a diet of spinich, dirt, dust and moldy potatos but that's the price you pay:) I still love those things, also later had an kat 1100 for years. (and I want it back!)
