well hello all, I bought my first bike this year but i,m not new to biking i have worked in a shop in the past only doin basic stuff like services and so on i,m no expert. Glad to become a member of this forum. Oh before i forget my bike is a 93 fzr 250 3ln. The bike was lying up for 1 year outside and then stored in a shed for 3 years it got the odd spin but the owners didn,t even wipe it down and the irish weather took its toll on it plenty of rusted parts but i have it well stripped down and the cleaning process has begun. the tank was in too bad a shape as condensation rusted the inside so bad it had started weeping fuel .All the connections are corroded also but the bike is all original i got it running yesterday connected a bottle of fuel to the carbs coz the filter was all jammed up with rust too anyway goin on a bit here if i can help anyone at all i,d be more than happy to and would be very grateful to anyone who can help me out with any problems i might have myself...

Hi Madchild. The weather in Ireland? You are not a local but you are very welcome here. Have some fun fixing up your bike and some stories of you adventures on a bike would be great. It is always good to hear what other people get up to and some pictures are always welcome.
g'day mate welcome aboard. a great to to get rid of rust is soak the parts in plain old white/clear vinegar for at least 24 hours and then it just brushes off works a treat
