hey chaps. i kinda over torqued a screw on my carbs and snappped the head off it. Location wise if you take off the float bowl its a brass screw that holds the jets assembly on. http://s93420228.onlinehome.us/fzr/carbs/DSCF0281.JPG wheres the best place to get a spare one???
Try your local Yam dealer and use this part number .... not the bike model... 1HX-14565-00 <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.partspak.com/ProductCart/pc/Yamaha-1HX-14565-00-00-Screw-1HX145650000-p137507.htm">http://www.partspak.com/ProductCart/pc/ ... 137507.htm</a><!-- m --> <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.partzilla.com/parts/detail/yamaha/YP-1HX-14565-00-00.html">http://www.partzilla.com/parts/detail/y ... 00-00.html</a><!-- m -->
Not sure if theres such a thing ..... as u found out , gently goes with anything like jets etc internally in a carb. Im doing mine right now also and Im just doing it by hand then a little gentle tweak with the screwdriver or spanner or wateva..... no real force at all.
The 600 has a similar arrangement; I just went rummaging through the manual, but I saw no torque value. Like GreyImport said, easy does it ...
