Hey Chief, the coils you're after are 129700-5430. Chris will have some and if not, there's normally plenty on eBay. I'd pop over to Murdo's place and have a look at the wiring lengths and the special connectors you'll need to make the loom for those coils. I found the connectors to be fiddly, but @Murdo has the right tools to help you with them. I think the attached pics are from Craig's COP document.

Once you go COP, you'll never go back to coil packs. I'm still trying find a way to convert my VT250F to COP (space is the main issue).

Do you run the COP's in series or parallel? And I am assuming that the Black/Red into the old coil goes into the new 1/4 COP, and Green/Red into the 2/3 COP?

    (Apologies for derailing the thread)

@crshbndct I believe that because you're replacing a 'wasted spark' circuit, the coils must be in series. That also means that you have to allow for the primary and secondary windings for 2 COP coils to equal the same as a standard coil pack. My Vmax has a coil pack for each spark plug, so the replacement COP coil needs to have roughly the same windings spec as the existing coil pack. Same for the VT250F engine that I'm trying to convert to COP. Your assumption about which wires go where is correct.

That rubber piece is to reduce vibration. The long engine mount bolt runs through it.

    ZXR Rubber.jpg

The bolt holds the rubber piece in place.

Yea I worked out the bolt holds the rubber/metal piece in place and that it sits on the engine mounting bolt , but why is what I got stuck at

Seems a complicated and stupid bit of engineering for a bit of vibration .... must of been designed on a Friday arvo after a hard week at the drawing board or a Monday morning after a weekend on the Saki :D

Rubberised engine mounts are a thing, but I haven't seen too many over the years. I doubt it does very much.

Plug it. Your radiator still works, so it won't overheat.

Yea I tried heat and a little persuasion but its just brass so it just turns to gold dust

Im going to JB weld the top back on .... its just a simple arrangement with a spring and tube in a bit of oil inside so it may just work again ... not that Im any expert on sensors

Grab a radiator cap off one of the FZR's and see how it fits.

Should be a standard 0.9bar radiator cap, FZR is the same. Superthief should have something
