    Mine are 4.0 new, but SMIC. They work fine.

    Yep, common mistake on these I find. People knock the new bearings in all the way to the inner tube. You're supposed to leave a 1-2mm gap. I have a ZXR wheel that I'm going to have to sacrifice the bearings in order to get it working properly.

    You're doing a thorough job of fixing this thing up properly. Those should clean up nicely and a kit will have them working like a bought one! How are the pads? If they're toast, just get organic replacements.

    Yea they are grungy inside too and the paint is peeling off so they need a decent clean ... blasting would be good but no access to that so maybe a can of threebond will do it

    Are the pistons usually easy to remove on these things?

    @Murdo ... do u still have contacts at Pirtek? :D ... new brake lines will be in order I think

    The eBay pads are fine and you only need new seals for the pistons (as opposed to the whole rebuild kit). Up to you.

    Also, if those pistons have been stuck in there a while, they may be stubborn. You've gotten stubborn pistons out before, so no point telling you about using compressed air and wooden blocks etc. PM me if you want any help as those little bastards can be tricky to put back in properly. Also, I meant to tell you (regarding your brake discs) to check that they're still "floating"...sometimes they seize and hitting the front brakes can be a scary affair as the front end will porpoise.

    Yeah it was me . Need to get 2 brake lines made,new set of pads and a few pistons that were damaged (new pistons are literally a small fortune)

    So I discovered the secret with wheel bearing removal ... the centre tube is easily accessed inside the wheel and knocked to one side so to speak ... thankfully as the rear bearings were as good as seized

    Sprocket carrier bearing held a secret as well ..... removing the circlip helps ... bloody Kawasaki :)

    Sprocket nuts needed the rattler ... damn tight

    This is a replacement ... original rim had it but also had a dent ... I was going to strip it back but nah ... my elbow grease is on empty :D
