Hmmm I wonder if this would fit into the SRX 250 Frame without too many mods.....lol

I know where there is a spare frame.... 2valve... now that that would be a nice little project :)

It is an SRX600 Single cylinder Thumper engine... the link was to a Facebook Group ad

Enough time and money and anything is possible. :p

As Murdo said, with time and money anything is possible.

A mate from the Sunshine Coast is fitting a 600c single (Yamaha XT600) into a FZR250. I'd say it has been a glacially slow project, but Blair has already used that line. In fact, if anyone wants to take this project on and also get the original 250cc engine that was in the bike, I think an offer in the $400-$500 mark might get you over the line. (seriously, he's been working on it forever!).

Why bother? Just buy an SRX600 and its already done.

I'm not 100% sure why anyone does these kind of custom builds. I'm not as intrigued as some to see what a huge single-cylinder engine does when it's jammed into a sports bike frame. I think the XT600 has the same HP as the original FZR engine, but would have probably double the torque. In the last 3 years, that XT600/FZR250 project has moved forward exactly ZERO!
