Hi guys I'm onto a really good deal for parts I need for my bike to get it back going but now that I am in contact with the seller it seems as though they are for a c model whereas I have been after a model parts . Can I use a c model cylinder and piston on an a model ? And can I use a C generator on an A.

I am sorry I have not said what I wanted too correctly . I mean perhaps it is an option to bore out cylinder of the A too accept the 49mm pistons from the c model as they are more readily available . So I ask are dimensions all the same of pistons other then diameter ? As I know the stroke is different the A model cylinder is the only one that would be able to work on it along with rods .

What's the problem with your A model?

Parts may or may not be interchangeable... lots of differences between A/C models, crankshafts are all different part numbers etc

The stators epoxy is cracked off in places and I'm told this would have intermitting problems and the cylinder is worn out so trying to find replacement is too difficult so I thought I could use C pistons in an overbored A cylinder as they are a bit easier to find
