Hey all I have finally found a 1990 gsxr250 to add to my little collection of 250 fours. It is pretty rough so I will need some support in the restoration please. Where is the go to place for service parts and spares for these little demon please? What should I be careful of as I tear it down? Thanks
Congratulations, BUT, internet rules: pics or it didn't happen Depending on the parts, Suzuki seems to have good spares available either through the dealerships - please note that this my limited experience with looking at crankshaft and main journal shells a research Grab the service manual and if it's available the parts manual as there's a lot of crossover with parts on later models which were officially imported and dealerships will order parts by part number Otherwise there's impex which can be used for both part number research and ordering directly
Try Mick Hone but as mentioned , part numbers are the key https://www.mickhone.com.au/partFinder/fiche/suzuki/1990#content https://en.impex-jp.com/catalogs/moto/suzuki/9900b-68027.html https://2fiftycc.com/index.php?resources/categories/gsxr250.35/
Welcome. I have never owned a GSXR250 but have had two 750s. My son now has my last 750 and I will be rebuilding the carbies as it due for club rego next year. He is just waiting for the carby set to arrive then he will send carbies and rebuild kit to me and I will get to work on it. The 1984 was the scariest to ride. The one my son now owns is 1992, a high performer but nothing like 1984.
