Well this forum is out of ideas so I thought I would post up my FZR1000 build on here. Some of you might have seen it on the FZR facebook page.

Heres a few pictures of the bike when I first got her...

A pretty damn solid bike, 100% stock and could still hit 200kph without missing a beat. Had 118,000km on her and most of the fairings were grazed to sh!t but still in good condition. Awesome all round bike, picked it up for $2300 which included door to door freight from halfway across the country. The idea was to turn her into a post classics racer and so the rebuild began.

Current mods are as follows:

K&N Panel filter
Dynojet Stage 1 jetting kit
9kg of weight gone thanks to the angle grinder
6 Piston YZF750 Thunderace callipers with braided lines and upgraded master cylinder.
Stainless Yoshimura RS3
Custom paint

Planned mods:
Stage 3 kit with pods/custom intake
Rearshock upgrade
17 inch rear wheel
Custom extractors and collector

Dream/Stupid/Unrealistic mods:
Fuel Injection
Turbo

Heres a few pictures from the build.

Now I know that this isn't 250 related but hopefully it motivates a few of you to get out there and start doing it. All work has been done 100% by my hand except for the fairings which were molded by Glen from http://www.justfairings.co.nz, my 250 also features on his site.

Updates will be provided as I gradually finish this bike.

There are a lot of good FZR1000 hanging around and it is definitely easier to get parts for them because the bikes were sold world wide.
This seems to be a good forum for the larger FZR models - http://www.exupworldwide.com/forum/index.php

Hey there, nice bike.

Did you put anti seize copper paste around the rear wheel spacers, axle and bearing area???
