I have my stock main jets, slow jets and new stock air filter ready to go in tomorrow.
but I wanted to clean the jets. Would it be okay to use brake and chain cleaner on them?
Or should I go down to repco and get three bond?

I would get some threebond or if you have some throttle body cleaner.

Well back when i first got the bike it was humming pretty good. I do plan to do a 3 bond FULL overhaul when my lite tek kit arrives but I more mean is brake cleaner gonna hurt?
I have seen what it does to chains and I just want to make sure there is no bad stuff on them (oil from unifilter ect) from since i took them out.
    Will it wreck them?

i reckon should be fine for brass jets, just rinse them in fuel straight away... your hands however....

just looked at the msds for both they are pretty similar, the main ingredient in brake cleaner is actually petroleum.

what goes thru your jets every time you ride @Damus? petrol... so yeah id say it'd be all good.

    Just stirring mate.

i'd still rinse in petrol after incase one of the additives leaves a residue, also it shouldn't be to horrid on your hands. Just please dont get it in your eye (happens to me all the time doing carbs lol)

haha oh we are going FULL stock, the non iridium standard plugs at 0.8mm gap are already in.
Pretty much the only thing that wont be stock is the exhaust can, but I am half tempted to try take that back to stock too even though its a 600$ carbon roo race can.

a long pipe shouldn't matter too much, had a shorty on mine and it definitely went better with the stock can on.

put the stock pipe on after your done and do a comparison.

If you dont have threebond why wouldnt u just use carby cleaner?

And 50% of cleaning jets is finishing off with compressed air thru them.
