Hi All, Anyone got any comments/constructive criticism about this bike. I'm on RE and looking at this bike. Looks tidy. Doesnt seem to be too many of them around. Either that or whoever has them are holding onto them??? C'mon fellow forum members, I could do with a bit of reassurance before I put my money into this bike. cheers chezarelle :hello2: :BangHead:
Hey chezarelle Welcome to the forum, the BR250 is a single cylinder Kwakka which had a production run of 3 years (1986-1988) before being dropped, from what I have heard they rare due to the limited production run, they are known in Japan as a CS250. I have never ridden one, but quite like the looks which are similar to the Honda VT250 Spada. They were known for having a low seat, they werent sensationally powerful, but from all accounts were a solid commuter bike. There isnt much on the web, the tech specs are here - kawasaki br250 http://br250.awardspace.com/ I did make an offer to buy one in Brisbane a few weeks back, but my offer was too low... i was planning to go for the cafe racer look  Cheers Chris
Hi and thanks Chris, I don't mind the low seat. I'm only 5'4". My dream bike well I have 2 the GSX250F Suzuki and the CBX Honda. The GSX was just soooooooooo comfortable but I just missed out on that :'( I've been searching everywhere for a manual but thanks for the specs. Appreciate your input. cheers
Hi Chris, :o Yeah well !!! :angry4: Just rang to get address to pick up bike tonite and got told wife has sold it out from under me. :BangHead: :BangHead: Maybe it's karma since I really want the GSX. I'll keep saving/ rob peter-pay paul and see if I can get a bit more $$ together. Slightly :-[ after raving on about the BR. Anyway no choice now but to keep looking. Cheers Chez
Old as thread, but I've found one of these for $200. Has been sitting for a year & was running before but now has no spark. Compression is fine. Fair few people looking @ it currently. I googled it to find info & it led me straight here haha what are the odds. Not sure it's worth me buying a project @ the moment but was vaguely interested for the price
Sorry for the old bump but seems to be the go with this thread I happened to find this if any one was interested http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/sumner/motorcycles/classic-retro-rare-as-cafe-racer/1098903863
Thats what I thought too, I have only seen a couple of these around hey but was never really interested untill Chris mentioned that they were only produced over a 3 year period. Kind of thing that should be preserved and stuck under a cover in the corner of the shed for the next 15-20 years
I agree, otherwise some moron will buy it and cut bits off to make a 'cafe/bobber/how cool am I' something or other and destroy a good motorcycle.
