    Something I have just realised. The bike has the wrong dash as the tacho goes to 20k. I've seen videos of other 3LN6's and they end at 16,500RPM.

    However it makes sense as the bike also came with the dual headlight instead of the single. So the whole front fairing assemble must have been replaced.

    It also has a 3LN3 exhaust (engraved into the muffler)

    Wonder if I can source the proper dash. I imagine it will be like searching for hen's teeth.

    I think you will be able to get one. Just a case of regular scouring and the members here could keep an eye out too.

    The twin headlight assembly that came off it has a set on it ..... no idea wat tacho it is though

    The instrument cluster arrived in the mail today. It has some notable differences to the 3LN3 and older models

    We can see that the tacho/speedo font is larger

    Redline ends at 18.5k RPM

    Trip meter reset knob is different

    Dash lights for indicator/highbeam etc have moved to the centre

    Well Blair, you may get your wish to see the 3LN6 restored to it's original colours. I've been thinking about and decided to use the yellow fairings on my newly purchased 3LN3.

    The Yellow Peril will still have it's day!

    Love it!
    Well you have most of the original blue and lack pieces as I recall. Just need to fill in the missing bits.
    If you can find a good painter they can paint the blue with an airbrush. I am sure guys like the one from Ace-of-Sprays could do that no problem.
    Finding genuine stickers might be too tall an order.

    That's a good question. Maybe it belongs to a 3LN7? It was advertised as a 3LN3 dash but that's wrong

    EDIT: I just checked the listing, the seller has changed it. Looks like I have the wrong dash. It's not from a 3LN3 model. It came from a 1989 bike. Listing previously just said it came from a 3LN3
