I just bought one of these JRE Accessories exhausts, it's got a good note and they ship overseas. Available in 30cm or 42cm in various colours. Will need to specify whether you have a 2KR (skinny steel frame) or 3LN (deltabox aluminium frame) as the midpipe section is different. Comes with a baffle that can be removed

    I got the 42CM version in stainless/silver

It looks closer to the original exhaust, personally not a big fan of "shorty" exhausts, plus a shorter one might be too loud even with a baffle. I opted for the longer pipe and no baffle.

It sounds 110% better in person, too.

Im loving the look of yours tbh! I was looking at a hawk gp ones was going to modify it to fit but id rather something purpose made loudness here in Ireland is not a problem really. I messaged the seller to see if they had one for my bike as not listed on ebay for 3ln at the min. Will i need to rejet or adjust my needles for this extra noise lol

I doubt that doing so is necessary on an FZR since the exhaust gasses are controlled by the EXUP

I doubt you'll need to re-jet, but you may need to retune the pilots a little as any straight through will have a leaning effect. I doubt it will be significant though.

I've heard you can unpack the stock muffler (remove baffles, take out stuffing). I'm starting to get curious I may have a look at mine. Good cheap way to do the same thing.

Would that require cutting the exhaust off and welding it back together? Would be a handy way of gaining the noise as the stock exhaust isnt bad looking and sports the exup logo lol the yamamoto spec a exhaust sounds the buisness would love one but 431 euro for a slip on is abit mad imo

They do, just buy one and send them a message saying you have a 3LN frame. The muffler is the same, it's the midpipe section that bolts onto the headers, and the other end onto the muffler, that is different. Smart way to do it really.

I got an email back off jre and they will be able to supply me with exhaust :) he quoted me a price a bit cheaper than ebay if i buy it directly which would be great as import duties here are 23% vat and 3.7% works out at 250ish all in compared to 550ish for the yamamoto! Had a few more questions for him but all going well ill be order either a stainless or black shorty in the next two weeks :) theres no seat joining panels on ebay tho sadly

By seat joining panel you mean that little plastic bit that cover's the rider's seat bolt? They always break the tabs off as the design is poor.

Never fear though, Mr. Grasshopper and I are going to design a new one ;)

My fat rear end hasn't broken it yet. Maybe it's just the rider? :D

The weakest point is the tabs on the side panels that it locks into.
