To me it soulds like either regulator or stator still.
At idle it should be putting out at least 12.6v.
Have you measure resistance on each of the stator wire's?

was the original stator known bad?
I've tested one with low wattage bi-pin bulbs 120 volt for memory, check each of the three phases and see if at least the bulb glows approximately the same between each phase, this tests for the current.

See the test reason and explanation here.

Also unfortunately it's not safe to assume that new components are working, the service manual will give the charge specs, needing to have the revs above 5K RPM to get a low range charge voltage is very suspicious

OK fun - just watched the two youtube clips - it is an alternator based charging system.

Worn brushes or were they part of the new stator? Voltage going to the field wires (brushes)?

Wondering if an issue with the fields blew the previous regulator/rectifier and has done the same to your new one

it's still using the old brushes, but they looked pretty much perfect to me when i took them off, plus the rotor was in spec when tested with multimeter. im starting to think it's my new reg/rect since it was a cheap chinese knockoff one and i tend to have bad luck when i do that.

a lot of wires have been "welded" together in the harness in a few places which has caused a lot of small shorts/voltage leaks. it's just snowed here so i guess riding season is over. might spend this time until spring creating a new wiring harness.

got a honda seat on the bike as well and messed around with the angle of the bars a bit using risers and whatnot. airbox is coming in the mail so that i may rev past 7500.

    chopped fenders coming soon
