Hi Gents ,greetings from Hong Kong , new to this site, and just bought a meg 250r SE off a collegue few months back.i know f all about bikes.... Hadn't started the bike for 3 weeks and now it wont start , so let my mechanic have a look. He connected a pressure gauge on turning over and said there was not enough engine compression. His diagnosis; -in and ex valve ageing -piston compression ring gap too big He has now dismantled the engine and has requested a list of replacement parts! FAARK! Where do I get all the bits from?? List; Most important WORKSHOP MANUAL, ( looked everywhere , cant find one)? Engine overhaul gasket kit Carb overhaul gasket kit Piston ring set In Valve Ex Valve Cam chain Also , seeing as he has stripped the engine to the bone , can anyone recommend any performance engine parts to replace stock or whether they exist? Any help most appreciated please guys , cheers Martin
buy a new engine and gearbox assembly from zongshen.cheapest and easiest.probably only needed the valves adjusted as they are too tight from the factory. may have started when cold but impossible when hot.
forgot to add- workshop manual impossible to get. zongshen sells all the bits but buy a new motor and bolt in. step 2-sell the bike.
if that is the sensor on the thermostat housing type in megelli thermostat housing on ebay and 2 are their.
