Exhausts and CDIs as many other products are available in Indonesia for any tips or questions ask me guys have a nice ride.....
Hey Everyone, Looks like aftermarket parts are available now, www.motorcyclemoods.com.au, I'm interested in an exhaust myself - but wondering if anyone else has found this and possibly installed...with some sort of review on the result for a series 1... Regards, Franky
Hey guys ive got a 2010 250R its all stock and it tops out at around 90-95, i hve nevver seen it hit the 100 whilst ive been riding it? i was just wondering if there was anything i could do (apart from upgrades) to increase the top speed. Also what are your 250R's getting to? Cheers Dylon
You will have to change the sprockets in order to change the speed on these things, is the best method i have found. I changed both the front and rear sprockets - i have a 250r 2010 model as well. I changed from a 13 front i think to a 14 and rear changed to I can't actually remember but it was the same as the series 2 configuration. Your acceleration will suffer but i maintains 100 clicks at 6500 or so happily and doesnt shake too bad. I'll try and dig up the details from my old receipts - otherwise can someone with a series 2 comment? I am able to get to 110 :-X + with everything else standard.
No speedo to worry about. fairly sure that the speed is based on wheel revolutions judging on my ability to pass cars on the freeway if needed. will test it out with a gps to get a better idea and let you know.
Yes I agree. I bought a 2012 Megelli 250RE and put irridium plug, racing Carby, Racing CDI, racing brakes and racing exhaust. The majority of the parts were from KTC racing in Bali. My Megelli was 27hp stock and now 45hp with no rev limiter and does 200km per hour. 0-100km per hour in under 5 seconds. New bike ($4,500.00) with all the upgrades it was still $2000 cheaper than the 2013 fuel injected ninja 250 and is faster than the new ninja 300. Email me if you want help getting parts from Indo
Hi Chris, Yeah sure will PM you in the next few days. Heading back from Perth to Bali. My staff driver over there has sorted all the upgrades and done the leg work for me. Will get part details for you ** I have the bike in the Megelli Mechanic for 2 whole days and it cost me $15.00AUD LOL Always best to have Indo friends buy parts, so you don't get ripped off :BangHead: Cheers Jason
bought a used megelli a few weeks ago and enjoying it. 2 problems...headlights but have ordered a hid kit from china and the neutral issue.the bike is a watercooled 5 speed 2011 model.any ideas?also the tail light soots up but am using no oil.would also love to find a manual?
Hey Risky, welcome to the forum, the neutral issue is fixed by replacing the selector drum, its a well known issue.. contact http://www.motorsportimporters.com.au/ for info on getting it fixed. I havent ben able to find a manual.. if you get one, please PM me. thanks Chris
Hi All, Just in the process of getting costs for all the parts for the Megelli 250 in Bali. Will post photo's and prices on this thread in the next week or so. Bit of work to get this sorted as there are a few options from different suppliers. Well worth upgrading these bikes, as they really fly and the racing exhaust sounds much nicer than stock. Raced a fuel injected ninja and left it standing at the lights  What I can get here: * Matt black Megelli Helmets (Red Megelli 250 logos) * Top quality custom made Megelli Leather Jackets (Embroidered with megelli logos) * Choice of Stainless Exhaust systems * Racing Carby * Racing CDI (No rev limiter upto 14000rpm * KTC racing brakes * Upgraded Koso Tacho/speedos All much cheaper than anywhere you can find in Australia!!! Stay tuned gents P.S> Frankie I will check if the racing carby/cdi/exhaust are interchangeable between water and aircooled models
just bought a 2012 se that had been droped. need a fairing and front guard. anyone know where a wrecked one could be found?
try www.findapart.com.au for trying to source 2nd hand parts for Megelli, although it might be worth contacting http://www.motorsportimporters.com.au/ as they are the Aussie Distys for megelli, rumours are spares arnt too expensive from them
good stuff Risky, can you takes some pics and post a how to guide on installing it... very interested to hear your thoughts on the kit. Chris
will give a report. postage was quick and kit came in polystyrene box.have spoken to craig at megelli importers and warranty on megelli is only with original buyer. so much for 2 year unlimited warranty. revised gearshift drum is$99 plus fitting.soot on tail light is normal.
holding off on fitting kit till nuetral issue solved. concern is voiding warranty.spoke to fair trading avoiding names or brand and stat warranty should apply.waiting to hear back from importer.
