I'd be in, but can't for about another month or month and a half. Sort of getting married in the meantime...

One of my favourites is the Reefton Spur -> Marysville -> Lake mountain rides (see http://ariel.ucs.unimelb.edu.au/~ben/mtcv/mcroads/lakemt.html but go through reefton instead of black spur). Unfortunately I have been told that the run is now heavily patrolled by police, so can't push it quite as hard on some of the roads. It is quite a twisty ride too, so one to be careful on and not for learners. But if you are willing to take it easy and still have some thrills it is a good ride.

The ride you mentioned is awesome, I live out that side of melbourne so thats where I tend to ride. There is a lot of police and also a lot of bikers go down (due to the amount of bikers riding out there)
You just need to take it easy the first time, especially if you are a road learner like me (get me on dirt its a different story)

Hey guys~ I'm new to the forum and I'm still on L with my FZR250! I'll be in as long as the route is not very hard to ride... and if you guys don't mind me being a bit slow at corners... hehe

 

being slow is a relative term. Ride as fast/slow as you are comfortable with and that is the best option. I have been on rides where I thought I was a bit too fast in corners, only to be passed by some other rider doing well in excess of what I was.

Definately ride with one of the melbourne guys... if they can get their lazy asses up and organize one hehe.. but yeh for sure ride in ur abilities.. and you ll find u enjoy the ride. just the normal late night street drags street drags, fun just to go in a convoy of hotted up imports, have a few mates that race their TT supras. fun usually starts when the <!-- s:cop --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cop.gif" alt=":cop" title="Cop" /><!-- s:cop --> rock up!

 

long time no hear from nobody. Exams are almost over so who is up for a ride one of the better days or have the fizzers been packedinto storage. I gotta get mine back up and running. Keen to get back on. Have only notched up 300 kms since i bought it in Jan. So whose down??
