Hurray! A response...
I was starting to wonder if i'd picked a bad weekend... or something like that.
If you are busy or want it on another day or weekend, please post and i'll see what we can do - after all... this thread is just an expression of interest at the moment.

Hmm... sounds pretty good to me

I'll just see if I can get the weekend off work!

I reckon I will be able to drag along a m8 on a 2000 VTR250 ... weather permitting of course ;)

Good to hear Squog. I'll put you down as pending + 1.

Yeah, of course weather permitting... i usually make a post a few days before confirming that the ride is going ahead, and update the thread title to 'CONFIRMED' to let everyone know it's all going ahead.

That said, i've got a fair while to organise it.

I have a YZF600 thundrcat booked in for a service on sat... but if things go quick (it's a minor service) I should be up for a ride on sat...

if the ride is on sunday I'm in!! might even drag along the owner of the Thundercat... (perhaps the best upgrade bike from a FZR250)

Oops, i've gotta start referring to 2006 calenders instead of just flipping back to Jan 2005!

Anyway... the proposed weekend was the weekend of the Sat 14th/ Sun 15th. How do those days strike people?
The weekend before that i'm heading up to Echuca to go paintballing, camping, and riding... so i'm gonna be dead by the time i get back! So it'll have to be that weekend.

That's not to say i'm not keen for another ride perhaps a different weekend, just trying to organise something of a decent FZR meet.

At this stage the ride is a go!

Even if we don't get any decent numbers i'll still be good for it as long as the weather is. If anyone's up for a ride this weekend there's a C class MRA ride departing Quist Court, Dandenong @10am on Sunday morning. I know it's only a C class ride but a good mate of mine (Al on his ZX10R) is most likely leading it and he always makes sure we have a good time.

As soon as the B.O.M come to the party i'll put a definite go ahead on it.

Well the BOM has put a forcast up for this weekend and it's mid 20's and fine for both Saturday and Sunday.

Can i have a quick show of hands for who's up for Saturday, and who's up for Sunday. At the moment i'm leaning towards Sunday as i've got other commitments on Friday night which will rule out an early start Saturday.

sunday for me too. Surf forecast is looking good for saturday and i hate being put in the position of "ride vs. surf". Surf will win this one.

I'm so sorry guys - I don't think I can make it... we've got a guy who's called in sick for the weekend... and now it's up to me

I'll see if I can get my m8 on the VTR250 to go along...

Ok, the go ahead is for the meet point at Cranbourne McDonalds (the one just outside of Cranbourne) for 10am. We're gonna finalise the route on the morning to cater for the turnout we end up with, but it's gonna be moderate twisties and a fair few km's - so come one come all!

Will see everyone there (well those who havent yet pulled out!).
Aiming for departure at just gone 10:15am.

... ALSO POSTED ON NETRIDER.

I'm there for sure!
Got an address for the Cranbourne maccas?
Doesn't have to be number exact, just the road(s) it's on and a couple near it so i can pin point it easy

If you can find your way to Cranbourne station then it's the Maccas thats right near that. By the sounds of things the turnout should be decent for one of my semi-organised rides.

If you want the exact address... i believe it's 239 Sth Gippsland Hwy (Cnr Camms Rd) - but it's far easier to just say it's the Maccas near Cranbourne station.

For everyone's reference my mobile number is
oh - four - oh - eight - one - oh - eight - five - one - one.
Any problems of if your running late, or lost... gimme a text or call. I'm aiming to be there from just before 10am. As always, full tanks at the meet point please - we'll discuss fuel range, pit stops, lunch & route when we're all there.
