I am going to be really keen to take one for a test ride! They look very good in my opinion - but ultimately they are just a slightly up spec version of the R3 and Ninja 300 so I'll hold judgement until I ride one I think
Is it just me or is it a little bit sad that it's a twin cylinder? I know another 250 4 cylinder is unlikely these days but the new bike seems to be trading on the 'RR' moniker without offering anything to live up to that iconic brand.
They will be popular with the kids in Asia and that is the target market. Given a choice, I would go for this. Something that I am still shopping for
I like the aggressive look of the bike, it appears they are almost emulating Kawasaki styling. Straighter lines and more angular bodywork, especially at the front end. The red one looks really good. Yes HP figures would be interesting as would be the 350cc version?
It's a competitor to the R3 and Ninja 300, and that's all. USD forks are nice, but it's not a race replica of a larger bike, like our old inline 4's are.
Mmmm, right style just wrong engine. When I first read 'parallel twin' I thought Oh no, they've dragged out the old CB250 dunger from the 1970's. More here.
I've seen that it makes 35 HP, which is the same as a single cylinder 250cc dirt bike (CRF250). Still, quite pathetic to see a bike like this. Just seems like Honda is trying to gain market share in any way possible, yet their most iconic bikes lack development.
I have to say that I was pretty dubious about this bike but, after watching the review by that speedy bugger in Indonesia on YouTube, I came away wondering when it's going on sale here and can I find the dough to buy one
they certainly look the goods, I have a real issue with a parallel twin wearing a CBR badge, the 250, 400,600, 900, 1000 and 1100 have all been inline 4's, the only exception being the CBR125 which you could forgive Honda for dropping the name on a single as they dropped the 2 stroke NSR. Still, the performance looks great on paper and they look super sharp, I hope they sell a squillion of them
