Come in and say Gday, tell us what you ride and where you are from.
Just picked up my first bike and it's a brand spankin new red Kwaka Ninja 250R.
Something tells me I'm gonna have a lot of fun on this bike.
Look forward to seeing this site building membership and info.
welcome Beersy, how about posting some pics of your new ride in the Kwakka section
Hey Beersy, that sounds like a sweet ride. I'd second Kiffsta, show us some pic's and with a little luck we might meet down the road. Anyway, enjoy the ride and welcome on board
Hey guys...i am bikeless at this point, but have a passion for older 250 2 strokes. Hope to get on the road one day and look forward to reading more on these forums!...
wassup, Fergus here 8)
welcome Fergus, what do you ride ?
Howdy, my nick name is Johnno and I leant to ride on an Suzuki Across which was stolen so I bought a 250 Bandit which I sold a few years back. Im thinking about buying another bike as a commute to work, I have test ridden the Ninja 250 and am eagerly waiting to ride the new Honda CBR250.
Keep up the good work on ther fourm, its coming along nicely.
I have had a contact from Chris asking if I would sign up and say g'day..........so g'day!
It is a while since I rode a 250, that was a kwaka Z250 with a very load pipe on it, evidently I could be heard changing down for the local roundabout on my way home.............it was about a mile away and the cuppa was ready when I walked in!!!
I am now running around on a 2005 Triumph Sprint 1050.......wait for it............with Advanced Rider Trainer on the side.
I have just started a website, www.advancedroadcrafttechniques.com which is aimed at improving roadcraft, by coaching all levels of rider on the road, their local ones if they are around Brisbane, or through training aids and email if they are elsewhere.
If you have any questions that you think I may be able to help answer, feel free to drop me a line.... email@example.com or through the forum.
I do travel a bit and can't guarantee how often I can check in with you all, but I am around at the weekends and will be checking in then.
Hopefully we can arrange a get together around Christmas and get to know each other, in the meantime, stay safe on the road and look out for W anchors!!!
G'Day Mark and welcome on board
Am very interested and hopefully other will be also in what you are doing. I concur that we should try and get together pre. Christmas and catch up, something to work on. Am also riding a larger bike but am trying to resurect a late 70 model Suzuki gt250 x7.
Again, welcome to the Forum Phil
Thanks for the welcome, great to hear there is someone keeping an interest in older bikes, advancing years and an advancing waistline mean my oldtimer is a '93 FireBlade that I rescued and am rebuilding into a Repsol Rep.
I want to ride it down to the Island for a WSBK round...........and around Tassie..............and around NZ
Shut up and fix the bike............must go and polish some spanners!!!
Welcome aboard Mark !!!
I'm riding a Honda Spada 250, which atm is just ready to pick up post-repairs, so hopefully I'll be out on the road again soon. It's a bit of an older bike, but I'm a big fan of Honda and I believe the Spada suits me.
Still on my L's, but planning to get my restricted licence in the following months.
The Honda Spada is a great machine, I wasn't a great fan until I rode one, now converted.
They seem to do everything pretty well, enjoy the ride Phil
Looking forward to seeing some pics of the Spada, they have loads more power than the newer Honda VTR250's.
Adelaide rider and riding a 93 across. First ride bike and so far so good.
Welcome to the forum. Great bike the Across, does everything pretty well.
Enjoy the ride Phil
Welcome Daniel, I have 2 Suzuki across's in the Garage ( 91 and a 98), awesome little bike, my only complaint is the small fuel tank. Looking forward to seeing some pics on your ride.
I thought I would introduce myself and how this site came to fruition. I
Sydney rider here currently riding a 1992 Yamaha FZX250 Zeal, and will be for the next few years considering I've only recently gained my L's... once again. This is the second time now that I've completed the rider training and gained my permit however for some reason I allowed the last to expire. Not to worry though because learning isn't so bad and I don't mind carrying an L plate on the bike so long as the freedom of riding stays what it is.
The site looks awesome by the way and I look forward to contributing to the growth of the forum. Together we can add a wealth of information to allow others to better understand their particular model motorcycle, especially if it's a Grey import.
I also have a site up and running but it may only interest a few considering it's dedicated to owners of the Yamaha Zeal. It's something I've been working on so that the owners have somewhere to visit when requiring hard to find information relevant to the Zeal.
Feel free to check it out, see sig.
