    Hi Guys,

Name is Ahmad, I reside in the Hills DIstrict of Sydney.

Currently riding a 1985 Suzuki GSX250 modified to look like a unique cafe racer, the downside to unique is uncomfort lol, so I've got some plans of changing her abit to make it abit cleaner and more comfortable.

At the same time I'm also looking at getting a second bike but a sports bike of some sort.

So yeah, found the forum through Xr5T.

after about 20 mins of riding, you kind of just lose your hearing haha!

Thanks mate. I'm thinking of black foam leather seat with black tank. The paint on the tank is really bad, not clear coat. and the seat is really really uncomfortable.

I was also thinking about changing the bars to clip ons and doing a gauge cluster swap. there are a few gsxr clusters on ebay wondering if they would be able to be wired to this.

At the moment I'm getting her all fixed up and running well mechanically though.

    G'day to all,

Nice to see a clean looking forum layout, and great to see a forum for 250s!

Me? I'm riding a purple 1996 Suzuki Across and I'm in love again. The bike seems to be in good nick with only 27K on the clock.

I grew up riding bikes, but that was cut short when I ran head-on into a 5 tonne Ford Bedford on a country road when I was 16. (he cut the corner) Many months in hospital and a realy damaged knee which I've carried around for the last 26 years.

The last year or so I've had stress/anxiety related insomnia due primarily to my job. So to get to sleep, instead of counting sheep, I found myself reminiscing along every single dirt track I rode as a kid. Recalling every single contour bank and stretch of road. Had to go to Google Earth to check on a few parts that were missing from my memories but it was all pretty much still in the memory banks. It got me to sleep, and one morning I woke up and figured I needed a bike again.

So, it's freakin' great to be 'back on the bike' - only on my L permit at the moment but will do the full licence test in a month or so. Besides, as you'd imagine, I need the practice.

Anyhoo, end of story. Glad to be on board

    Brad

    Hi Guys

Just got my L's and an old but cheap and working across from nowra (rode it all the way back to sydney in a trial by fire)

Just about to do the first pulldown today to replace chain, sprockets and carbs allong with all the fluids

Bike's performance on the way home wasnt too flash so im expecting the carbs to be angry maybe the plugs too
