    Hi,
Looks like i am up for a new rear tyre (slow leak in current one).  Both front and rear tyres currently on the bike are about the same age. Should i be looking to replace both even if the front still has up to 50% tread left on it?  Will it cause handling issues if I don't replace both at same time?  I commute on it pretty much every day so want a nice ride. Also anyone know of a good tyre place in Brisbane (south or east side)?
    Thanks
    Nat

Do u know where the leak is?

Could just be the valve or the valve stem or even getting the tyre remounted might solve the problem..?

not as yet. will hopefully get time to check tomorrow.
if it is a valve will get that fixed as have Michelin pilot road 2's on at moment and they have done their job well.
unfortunately it looks like buying tyres off reputable O/S sites is way cheaper than buying local and that includes delivery to your front door.  go figure.

It is unreal that you can buy a tyre os and have it delivered to your door cheaper than the local supplyer.
I am no a expert but I would have though that you wouldn't need to replace both at the same time unless they were old and case showing sign of there age.
I would be running some bubbly water over the valve and bead of the tyre to check for leaks before you fork out your hard earned cash.

You don't have to replace them both at the same time, but I put more focus on my front tyre rather than my rear, so if your front is worn then have a look at doing both. I always get my tyres from Mike and Julie at Capalaba Motorcycle Centre,  they are not the cheapest but always do a good job

I just bought a new set of motorcycle tires from bike from this site http://4wheelonline.com/motorcycle/Motorcycle_Tires.106588.
Got a set of Dunlop arrowmax with size 140/60R17 63H GPRA-10 rear and 110/70R17 54H GPRA-10 for the front. So far handling is much better due to wider tires and the grip is also awesome.

This stuff has worked a treat on slow leaks in tubeless tyres for me there is also a type you remove your valve and pour in which is also great
