    With exams finished in roughly 2 weeks..and a months of holidays awaiting..just wondering who would be interested in a nice ride down the GOR during the week sometime after the 27th . During the week has a lot less cars. I've done this once..in I think we passed less than 5 cars the whole way!

    just got back from a run up the spurs. I think that will be the last one until Spring - was raining all through the black spur, in and out of cloud, part of reefton was dry but there were leaves, bark, all sorts of **** on the road - still fun but a bit hairy at speed. <!-- s:shock: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_eek.gif" alt=":shock:" title="Shocked" /><!-- s:shock: -->
    GOR would have to be better, despite the roadworks going on down there..

    Seems only yesterday that i too was a uni bum bluffing my way through a degree...
    Still if you pick a day out a couple of weeks beforehand i could try and score a day off.
    And yeah they are doing roadworks on the GOR (weekdays only, down to one lane in spots) i put up a link in another topic (think it was Sobils repair topic) to vicroads website. too lazy to find it sorry.

    try 7:30-5:00.....getting up at 6:30 and home at 6:00 plus working saturdays 7:30-12:00......eats in 1/2 the w/e <!-- s:( --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" title="Sad" /><!-- s:( -->

    I WILL BE OFF FOR THE WEEK OF THE 4TH OF JULY, WE WILL DO SUMTHING THEN!!!! IM OFF TO THE NETRIDER OVERNITER ON THE WEEKEND BUT WE WILL DO SUMTHING DURING THE WEEK OR FOLLOWING WEEKEND

    fellas i'll be off work the week of 11th - 18th July. Probably go for a spin down the Great Ocean Road one of those days when the weather is OK, although i'm sposed to be doing other stuff.     Spook ill be interested in that. Although I think im gonna go for a spin this week coming...who is interested? It will the be GOR, date will either be Thursday 7th or Friday the 8th.

    I'm keen to go pending a new front tyre.

    I'm good for the 9th/10th if anyone else is up for it... of course only if the weather isnt ratty. I commute in textile, and blat in leather... and wet weather & leather is NOT a pretty picture; trust me. :p

    well 9th or 10th is ok too with me - that'd be next weekend, wouldn't it. I'll keep an eye on the weather and make a selection - anyone prefer sat or sun? and yeah koma, i'm with you, its a no-go if they're calling a monsoon or anything.

    so much for todays ride. didn't make it verry far.

    AS an aside. my clutch cable broke on the way home, so i guess it was not meant to be.

    Awee... dudes!
    I just got a fresh front tyre and almost finished properly scrubbing it in on the Yarra Boulevard. Another night and a few more laps and it'll be nice and grippy.

    So is anyone still up for a ride to the GOR this weekend? (weather permitting?)

    Sobil you gotta stop breaking that bike man!!
    Koma the weather unfortunately is looking pretty sketchy for this weekend - i'm still up for it if things turn out better - guess we just wait and see..
