Update time. So Tyson came over today to get this bike happening.
So while he was pulling off his fairing I got to putting the subframe and wiring loom in my painted frame.
    image.jpg

We did a small job on his bike but I will let him explain that one. Then we got back onto kit. The engine bolts were very loose. To the point where one bolt came loose with just 2 fingers on the breaker bar. This was worrying me. So we slid the forks and front wheel out from the frame. With a little bit I jiggling we couldn't get the engine out. That's when we realise we missed a bolt. Oddly enough this was the one need a little muscle to get undone. Then once the engine spacer was removed the frame peeled away from the engine. image.jpg

So now it was lunch time and we needed some more paint. So we went for a drive and got a bite to eat with some beer.

Came back form lunch and cleaned up the engine. I wasn't trying to make this side of the engine pretty. I mean no one will ever see it. And I just wanted to stop the engine from being weathered.
    image.jpg
Then we got stuck into trying to put the new frame on the engine. Aaaaaaaannnnnddddddd. Bam road block. We hit a side of frustration. The whole time I had been painting this frame and getting it ready I didn't notice the snapped off bolt in the frame. So after some playing around it was agreed an easy out was the best way to go. So back down the road. We got back and I drilled the hole but I knew it was a bit off centre. Grabbed an easy out then realised my drill does not have a reverse. So I grabbed the good old ronny round nut and tried my hardest to gentle trust it out. Aaaaaannnnnnddddd snap! Easy out snapped off in the hole. So we stuff around and figure stuff it I will just drill it out. Yep forgot my hole wasn't centre. So drilled the hole through the thread and stuffed it.
    image.jpg
So it's time to go back to the original frame and start over again with the sanding and painting.

But did meet Tyson and his bike. He let me go for a ride and man I can't wait to be back riding again.

Lucky you have 2 frames bro! It was good to meet you, it would have been better to make more progress on your bike but these things happen.

Ok ready to bang my ******* head against a ******* wall. I mean how many times can something keep going wrong even tho you say to your self "ok. Get back up and try something else. " I mean holy mother ******* Jesus Christ all mighty (my apologies to the religious folk). How many times can you keep telling you self it will work. Einstein said the definition of insanity: is repeating the same thing over and over and expecting a different out come. Well **** me the guy was right!!!

Ok now I have gotten that off my chest. Today has not been a good day for me bike building wise I got almost nil completed and kit still lays in pieces while just want to break something every time I realise I ****** something else up. This time it's the paint work. I didn't see the spider web laying across the frame. Those tiny little spiders that float on the wind. There were 3 long ones. Me wearing sunglasses didn't see then until I had put paint on the frame and basically glued them to the frame. Now I need to wait until Friday to get more paint and sockets to change the swing arm around as this one is cancer ridden.

Rant over. I'm getting a jack and coke.

Just sick of taking one step forward and a hop, skip and jump backwards. I wouldn't dare say what else. Cause I'm ready to break things if I find something else.

a bit of fine wet and dry with detergent and water on a sanding pad will get them out then a quick touch up. frustration gets to us all but many people read the site and that includes women so politeness helps.
