OH my... .I have way more junk than back then...lol Maybe I need to get rid of some stuff.

It kind of depends on if you want to sit down and work on stuff or stand up... Ideally you set the workbench height for standing and find a chair tall enough for you to sit down and also be comfy.
Top height again depends on how high the ends are (mine were capped at 2.7m due to the ceiling) and what you want to put up there.... I will head up the back shortly and take some measurements for you.

The workbench on mine is at 920mm to the top of the bench. I am using 20mm form ply as my bench.
The top shelf is 980mm higher.
Probably could have been a little higher to give a bit more space for tools etc on the backing board.
In the end it is whatever works best for you.
Easy enough to change it before putting in the back board and bench top etc.

Now to draw up the detailed plans for the interior fitout.
50 GPO’s and enough LED lights to illuminate half of Tamworth will be a good start

I think Ill wait till my son is on duty before I move bikes :D
Im not going to bother with painting the floor .... pissing about with tradies and waiting weeks :commando:
The plumber took like 10 days to just answer me about the storm water pipes etc and still hasnt set a day ...... but the council inspector signed off on the "occupation certificate" today even without that completed ..... ;)

Im going to buy some massive slabs of rubber and cover the area where the bikes will be parked

Must be such a relief after all the dicking around and BS you had to put up with to get to this stage. Looking good.

And many other things ..... it was never 100% done last time it ran .... and that was like 17 years ago (my son is 15½ ... go figure)
Still has a few litres of Premium in the tank and it looks like my POR15 treatment has held out
Forks need to come out as the dust seals are rotten and I know one leaked all its oil (out of the drain screw) many moons ago
The old Amal carbs will need another look at and the fuel lines replaced
It also needs tuning and the electronic ignition set up to perfection so starting is "easy"
The rear speedo drive is seized so needs replacing
Tyres were brand new Avon roadriders back in the day but a bit past it now

Plenty of dust and spiders but thats the easy part... and my "bike fixing" abilities have certainly increased in 25 years

    Back in the day ....

No .... its pretty "heavy" and Ive pushed the bikes around on it a few times and it hasnt moved ..... theres 2 5m lengths
And I can assure u 1 rolled up 5m length is bloody heavy .... I had to load them into my trailer , unloaded into the shed , move them into place and move the bikes and other stuff out of the way as I did each one ..... then had to redo it all again so they would sit properly (long story) , as 1 length was longer ..... there was just over 10m left on the roll at Bunnings , so lucky there.

I just cut some ply so the stands dont dig into it

But it covers the area where the bikes will sit and in front of the bench so should be ok.

Looks good mate. I see the muffler is off and manual and tools are out… is there going to be some life in the Bonne soon?

    Doubt it

I ebayed some new bar grips from the UK the other day , does that count? :fuckyou:

My cart has a big list of parts though .... theres still plenty of "old brit bike" parts suppilers in Oz and NZ

I took the muffler off to get the rear brake pads out as the rear and front brakes were dragging badly.... the rear wasnt even connected :headbang:

Im not working on anything untill the shed is fully functional and setup ..... so much crap and tools etc everywhere and the bikes are /were covered in stuff or their path to the new home is /was blocked
Plus I need to get the electrician in before theres no room for him to work in ..... also the shelving/workbench needs to be done, otherwise it will just be a bun fight like before.
    But its getting there slowly.

You are all over it. Yes, best to get the electrics plus all other stuff done before filling it up with important stuff like bikes
