PCRA Round 2 Historic Road Racing is at Eastern Creek on Sunday June long weekend.
I will be there racing the TDR250, TZR250 and RD250LC.
Visit the pits and say hello if you come for a look.
My bikes are all number 35.

A very eventful day with many crashes and a couple of long delays due to the ambulance taking people to hospital.
Normally we don't have any incidents requiring the ambulance. Twice in one day is extremely rare.
The little South circuit at Eastern Creek is very tight and it is tricky to overtake.

I hit the tarmac in my last race while in 3rd place on the RD250LC.
I was trying to get up the inside of Dez in the tight left hander and lost the front end.
Very pleased with my recent Alpinestar GP Pro gloves. Only a bit of swelling and soreness on one finger as they protected me very well.
Racing really teaches you the value of good protective gear.
The fairing is trashed and a bent clip on bar and broken lever and many scrapes but ok otherwise.

The TDR250 and TZR250 were both great fun.
Still a way from finding the limits of the TZR.
At the end of the day I took home 3rd place trophies on both bikes in P6 250 and P6 250 Production.

Terry and Duncan are also from Canberra and pitted with us.
Phill came down with me and helped us all and is very much appreciated.
Terry's mate loaned us a portable generator for the tyre warmers as there is no power in the pits.
His weekend started badly. We were driving up and saw him parked on the side of the road.
Phoned him and he was unable to drive and so we went back and Phill drove him for the next hour and a half until he was over the dodgy pie he had for lunch.
He had to open the car door at 110kph when the pie did it's deed. Didn't do the looks of his race bike fairing any favours.

Duncan continued his habit of holing the piston on his 125. But now he knows that the problem is too much ignition advance and so hopefully he won't do it again next time.
His RD350LC jinx is continuing too with a thrown chain. I told him to get a bigger spanner and do the axle nut up real tight from now on.
Anyway, back to Terry: He had a good day racing as he liked the circuit and managed a 3rd and a 2nd place trophy on his RD250LC in the P5 250 and P5 350 classes.

Here is a pic of my bikes in the pits with Phill in the background.

Next PCRA meeting is last day of August at Wakefield Park in Goulburn.
The Saturday is regular sprint races and the Sunday has the 1 hour races.
I am doing my best just to do PCRA this year plus Harrow Vinduro.
Could be fun to race in Qld one day though. Can I stay at your place?
