Well as mentioned yesterday, in introducing myself to the 250cc forum, I have been given a 1984 RG250W, I was told buy the owner, before I saw it, that it was a 1986 RG250G but it is the earlier W.
Is there any difference in the W and the G ?? Engine, frame, fairings etc.
Looks reasonable for its age, always been stored in a shed and covered in dust, the reason is was garaged is that it just stopped one day and no spark. So should not be too hard to fix. In saying that, it is going to have a ground up re-build any how.
It is missing the right hand side cover that goes along under the seat.
Pictures show nose cone just sitting in place.
The seats are in top condition, no dents in tank.
Is the yellow and white livery a standard W colour ??

Don't get too excited yet guys, gotta finish my 1968 Honda CL90 Scrambler and my wife's Suzuki U70 1966 Scooter. The Honda is close to completion after a ground up resto.
I will be going over the RG and acquiring all the parts I need, if anyone has a right hand side cover please let me know.

Hi Noah, No belly pan and missing right side cover under seat, still looking. The purist in me says restore to original, the boy in me says café racer it. I am 61 but have been playing with bikes for 48 years.
    Having fun
