scary is the word..... but i know the 750 is much lighter and does have a tendency to try rip out shoulder joints!!!

on that subject tyson, there are some very nice kawa green fairings available for the 750

It's a heavy 750 lol 200ish kg dry weight. The fairings are in pretty good nick I don't think I will bother changing them.

well thats good news :) maybe even a hand polish on that clear coat will make her shine like new:thumb_ups:

very excited to see and hear this bike in the flesh when i come back to qld...

glad you ended up with a nice carby bike - i was personally aiming for a decent yzf1000 thunder ace 20-valve, but they were too far and few :(.

So I serviced it today and my standard habit of.....
    10511314_10152885495714863_8332114411919479834_n.jpg
Pulling way too many things off happened lol:oops:

As for the service the oil was nice and black but no sludge, petrol or coolant WINNING!
I decided to inspect the air filter and pull a sparkplug. This sparkplug suggests it is running amazingly well :p
    10487257_10152885496129863_9062583962617944319_n.jpg 10487299_10152885495939863_3264192252800727213_n.jpg
Wow was I amazed by the velocity stack ram air setup no wonder it has awesome induction growl.

Having checked the coolant and finding this I thought NOOOO oil in the coolant:commando:
    10306180_10152885496309863_6371608166168208366_n.jpg
Early panic subsided as this is rusty water from not running coolant so i did a change :)

I wanted to inspect the cam chain tensioner as it has some of that good old kawasaki rattle but decided that was a job for another day :aggressive:

    Here is the shopping list

Often the cam chain noise will diminish with fresh oil, test it and see. Looks like the rest is good, well done :thumb_ups:

Have a look at http://www.factorypro.com/ they've got the best carby kits.
I did my 94 ZXR750 incl the bigger pilot jets & what a great difference.
The chinese fairings are pretty ordinary but they do the job if you are a bit handy at fitting. Can't beat the old OEM ones with a new paint job

It was dumb luck looking back, the zxr came with a full Hindle race exhaust system & Factory Pro had a kit that matched with a K&N air filter, plenty of pull from 3k revs right through.
I got a lot of parts from Partzilla, all new OEM, postage was a bit heavy but worth it in the end.

Yep the website at Factory Pro is a bit mmm yep, just follow the red flashing arrows, persevere till you find the Kawasaki sect & the kits are there (online sales), very happy with my result, a real classsy bit of gear, titanium needles. My poor old girl looks a bit rough but under the skin she's a mover, all rebuilt & better than new & I can't see the bits that don't matter to me when I'm riding her & the Hindle has a unique thoroughbred sound all of it's own. Summers coming & out with the 2 pak to pretty her up.

Went to Queensland transport today to upgrade my licence, Success!! and to transfer this bike into my name, Failure!

It seems to be a minor hiccup but i cant transfer it into my name thanks to bodgy New Zealanders lol. The bloke i bought it off had bought the bike of his mate a month earlier (both were there when i bought it) but the bike is currently registered in between names due to some kind of paperwork error FFS.

So i was told by transport that i have to let the 4 months rego expire and put new rego on it after. Fun times ahead LOL
