So my exhaust came, I ordered a screaming demon pipe but received an ixil exhaust.
It is quite short and looks very nice,
    image.jpg
It came with 2 stages of baffle inserts but when removed.....
    image.jpg
    Mmmmm I likie haha.

I queried the the seller but I think I like this pipe more then the sdr one anyways.

Also I ordered some clutch spring washer holders and bolts from kawasaki today..... $95 later..... Thieving bastards. Also will need 2x oil filters and 8 litres of oil so that was a costly little slip up :commando::headbang:

Its hard. Ive applied for a few parts and accessories positions at bike shops. Problem is they cant play with the price too much either, as its usually set by the manufacturer.

Yes and no @Revolver for my drz400e I use to have they charged 900 for full system fmf but got from States for 500 and they had to make money so I think team homo heavily over price some parts

I think it's the importer that does the raping.
One thing with genuine parts you are guaranteed a perfect fit & all the parts have been engineered & tested to do the job.
See if you can get a magnetic sump plug, might pick up any left overs & you can see if anything is still showing up after the clean & flush.
Flush the top end as well, if you cant get the tappet cover off flush down through the oil filler with large amounts of kero or even turps works well.
I think the damaged side cover is only a noise supression inner cover, mine has a soft rubber damper behind it.

Prepped my header for painting this arvo and purchased another 4 litres of kero, so that makes 5 litres of kero, 9 litres of oil, 2x oil filters and a can of header spray paint. Tomorrow is going to get messy!
    header2.jpg header.jpg
Lucky I also bought some of this as well LOL

Looking good Tyson, looks like you've been reading my mail re. clothes line as it works a treat every time. :thumb_ups:
I like the clothes line because I seem to find every little area in the pipes, even when I miss it on the 1st coat the 2nd nabs it.
Keep up the good work mate, think you're on the final stretch :)

Saweet finally i have sorted this clutch! I went for a burn with some repco diesel oil in for about 80kms thru Mt Tamborine seen as its local (@Tim_ Ps I had a clear shot up the mountain :D) so I could finish the flushing of the gearbox and engine. Man did it feel good!

I also put my new IXIL end can on and boy does she sound good :dance2:

    The compulary exhaust noise video

Also a steel clutch plate had burnt
    burnt steel.jpg
What do you guys think this was the only steel that looked like this? I reckon the friction plate fused to this one therefore still giving me clutch drag. That is a guess though.

It now has some fresh motul 5100 in it as long as both the oil filters did their jobs all should be swell :drinks:
