    Hand painted 72 spokes (think it was 72...I can only count to 20 :D) looks better and will do until its time to re-spoke the wheels.....

    Picked up a vl250 , swapped for a carton of jd and coke , It is all there, might put this one back together

    Kicked it over and went for sunset cruse along the esplanade.

    It makes all the time and money spent worthwhile when you can do things like that.

    Picked Up this zxr250c , I’m sure it used to belong to someone on the forum, the headers have been painted gold before they rusted

    Today I drained and removed the fuel tank, cleaned about 2 years of neglect from behind the front sprocket cover. Removed and inspected the spark plugs. I'm happy to say that they looked great, no carby issues or oil burning issues. Scoured the net looking for the same sticker set thats on my fairings, to no avail, and found loose electrical conections.

    Got home from my 40-hour return trip to Brisbane, bringing home an ordinary GZ250, unload that, load a DR350 and VTR250 in the ute and dropped off to the auction yard. Hopefully I'll get some interest, at least people will look at them, for a change - no one has even looked at the VTR250 in 2 months of advertising. The market is slow...

    It is my new daily ride , I did a deal on this and a cbr929 a while back and I have been trying to sell it, I have one looker at $3500 but he was looking for a lams bike so I thought bugger it, I am going to buy it then register and ride it . I rode it home this arvo , it is much less aggressive on my shoulder.

    I even found myself singing into the helmet born to be wild, never in a million years would I have thought I would own a cruiser.

    I struggle to find the foot rests and controls, forget that they are near the front wheel instead of under me where it aids me controlling the bike. Being Japanese means it looks like a Harley, but works like a.. well it just works. And probably more comfortable and handles better. Does that make Harleys the man equivalent of high-heeled shoes? Hmm, that comment might earn me a great many enemies. I rode a Wedgetail recently, it handled like it was on rails, that is, you have to derail it to turn it. Very unsettling.

    But enjoy the ride, Chris. Maybe take it on a longer ride out to the dam on the weekend or something?

    I SOLD A BIKE!!!!!

    I might not have gotten as much as I wanted, but it is sold, pending payment. I had a DR350 and the VTR250 in the local auctions, no its on the vtr, negotiated a deal on the DR. Payment will be 8-10 working days, then I can get my zx2r on the road! Well, do the fork seals and change the tyre, fuel tap, and roadworthy, might have to wait longer for rego. And I'll drop a grand on pay off credit cards (which is about the same dropping it on the ground, in my case). But I have a bike to ride, after 4 days without a registered bike.

    Oh yeah, I also bought a zzr250 for $100, and then gave it away... Worst motor-dealer wannabe, ever! I owed a guy. And I got a set of zzr600 wheels with it, so i could make my money back, yet.
