Went riding today through Tamborine mountains with some cruiser folk, one must reset expectations on getting through corners when riding a cruiser :)

Cops were everywhere , bit of a blitz me thinks

Now to ice my shoulder and relax

The cafe bars just didn't look right(to wide for such a narrow bike), so I put on a set of clip-ons...looks much better but alas its one of those aesthetics over function things....
To ease up on the wrists I picked up one of those quick 1/4 turn throttle assemblies, but it would not fit with the standard switch block. So off to the wreckers, only to find out headlight/kill/starter switch's are a thing of the distance past..Finally found a slim block with of all things a hazard light switch???? which now is used for H/L.. wont go into the details of make or brake kill switch's springs flying all around the place and rewiring a complete switch block :)....So now the parkers come on with the ignition, the H/lights are switched via the hazard light switch and the kill switch work the right way around lol IMAG0220.jpg

Took my son out for another ride today, we went up to Macclesfield Lions club Classic Motorbike show and swapmeet.
There were about 300 bike's and about 10 sellers with bikes and parts etc.
It was their first show and it turned out great, weather was perfect too.

Pic's are borrowed from facebook various photographer's
The local police even had a stand there with free breatho testing for those that wanted a few bevvie's and wanted to check that they were still under the limit. :thumb_ups:
(There was also an RBT and Drug testing station a few km's down the road

There were a few custom bike's, one that attracted a bit of attention was the Kawasaki powered Norton
And there was a nice old 1915 Matchless sitting in the back of a ute for sale, didn't think to ask how much

Dragged my bike out of storage at work, went and applied for a license after sitting in time out for 6 months... and was refused... another 3 months for demerit points, which came about because of what got me the first 6 months.

    Ain't life grand...

The police don't pull you over here. They do have spot helmet checks, if you are not wearing a helmet you will have to pay a spot fine of 200 baht (about AUD 7.80). If you have no license then another 200 and no registration more money. On your way

Started to fill in the scratches on my fairings and repainted the rear fairings. Im using a Fiat black and the red from Alfa Romeo, the reds not an exact match but seeing every fairing was scratched it was only a small step.

Picked up a cafe racer styled seat for $40.

What's the consensus, standard or cafe?
