And just totally stuffed the tank Had the tiniest bit of “orange peel” in the tank knee indent, sanded it back,, re coated, and managed to create a massive run.... lucky it’s not near the logos.... bugger, this paint takes hours before it’s dry enough to sand back,

Not sure what happened , it is kind of a blur , a guy bought in a 2010 beemer F800st for me to buy for wrecking , somehow it went from buying it for the shop to me buying it and transferring the rego. Had a few rides and while I appreciate it is a 800cc twin, it rides so damm nice , it is bloody lovely except for this silly indicator switches on each bar

Good score, excellent bike. As long as the electrical system is in good nick and stays that way the rest of the bike is pretty much bullet proof. While the indicators are mental bmw have always been a bit eccentric. Used to be up for left and down for right. Only way I could remember this was to think of it in a political context.

Got most of my bikes out today for a ride , first off was the beemer because it is in front , I then dragged the gt380 out , I realised I haven’t been out on it since Christmas so it took some fettling to fire up , also gave the cbr900rr a quick run, last bit least was the mc22 , alas the battery is flat , I will leave that for another day.

My daughter asked. If I could take her for a ride , so got the Beemer out again, quick 15 min ride around the Redlands then home , when we got back home my wife wanted a ride as well, all Short trips , but fun to get them out and blow the cobwebs out

I work too many hours and struggle for time to ride , today was bloody awesome

Hopefully the fzr400 head comes back this week and I can see how she runs

Are you putting it in a longitudinal layout? Shaft drive?

    That's the plan,although a 90 degree 1 : 1 'box would make life a lot easier, coupled with a chain drive setup.
The biggest hassle with the V50 'box is it's internal primary reduction (after the clutch) , it has to be before a clutch now, due to the cibbie's rev zone

I’ve always liked guzzi v50s love to get my hands on a v50 Monza before I’m too old to ride one. Something about old joints n low clip on bars.

Well, I've snuck in a couple of rides on bikes lately, my injuries are completely healed (possibly not completely known, either) but I can handle an upright type of stance. Most of my bikes here are too heavy or too sporty, so I'll just have to wait until I get my VTR from the Gold Coast. Turns out, I've already bought 3 bikes this year; so much for not buying anymore bikes this year! I really didn't need the VFR750 - seems I'm turn Honda these days...

I drove down to melb for my best mates bday! Also ex army , and haven’t seen all the boys for a few years! Anyways as we were catching up drinks in hand, got to the early hours of the morning! Another mate said hey you still doing your bike thing, yeah Ofcourse

He said, “you want a bike?” Replied depends what it is and how much? He said na mate you can have it! I lost my licence in 2007 on it and rode it home from court and parked it at mums! Then joined the army !

so today I went to check the bike out! And this is it! 96 rvf 400, yes I have all the fairings too!

I told him as a mate I can’t accept this as it’s to much bike for free! His short yet simply reply was! Take it now or it goes to the tip!

so that’s my story and possible best score of my life!

If you want a track bike clean it up and sell it for a small fortune to an appreciative owner, use the money to buy said track blowbag, any old 600 will do. Then you can waste the change on track fees, etc etc. But please don't butcher an RVF.

So gentlemen last day hear in melb, and off to another mates house to stay the night! He saw the rvf and was like wow that’s a score! I told him I have every intention to return it to the road! He also said don’t butcher it which I promise I won’t! I then told him yeah I’m in front I came down with about 4-5 k to spend on some treasure on the trip ! He was telling me about crypto and how crazy it’s going “all above my head” and he said he wished he had some quick cash to inject!

so $4250 later and a hand shake I’ve spent my coin and I’m going home! In possession of his 2010 gsxr 750 track bike, two sets of tires, woolich tuned and all work done by race centre in Melbourne! A very clean track bike he’s done one day on then said he never gets the time!

so men that’s my week away down south! And now I have to make some more room in the shed! I swear these things breed and it’s a drug 867CECD6-C5F5-44BF-A0D4-30AC1206F3CF.jpeg 2AF55977-B30A-450B-94AE-F4F12A407F2D.jpeg 7AFC9578-0C73-464A-AABC-4D51A0E4FFFC.jpeg
