    Hi
Just wondering if anyone can help me I have a 1983 suzuki gsx250 which I am building into a cafe racer .. Unfortunately it has the mag wheels and I'm looking for spoked wheels .. Been looking everywhere and can't find any on gumtree eBay etc etc .. I have had a thought and there are lots of spoked wheels from road/dirt bikes - I have found wheels from suzuki ts250x - will these fit my bike ? Before I buy them ha ha .. Im looking at getting vintage style tyres from modern motorcycle company in Melbourne .. I know the rear wheel will be slightly smaller but when I put these vintage tyres with high side wall should end up the same size !!!! Any thought
    Thanks guys ..
    Graham

Graham, any wheels can be made to fit with enough time and money. :D
Look to see if the axels sizes are the same and the offset of the rims to the hub similar. A TS250 would have a 21" front wheel being a trail bike, cafe's always had same sized wheels.
My suggestion would be to look for an older GT200/250/380/550 Suzuki, or maybe a TU250 as they have spoked wheels.

Im not a fan of the mag wheels either , especially for a cafe

The early GS,GSXs had spoked wheels

Isn't it strange how things change. Back when 'café' bikes were the bike that every rider wanted they all had spoked wheels (with all the attendant problems), and anybody who had one would have pawned his granny to get a set of alloy 'mag' wheels. Now you blokes have got maintenance free alloy wheels and you want to go back to spokes! No pleasing some people. :D

Spokes look cool... although I do like the Yammy XS250 mags on a Café racer :thumb_ups:
