SOBIL and other melbourne riders, looks like we are going for a cruise up reefton this Sunday... Keep posted for information...but please post if interested. It'll be something like a 10 or 11am start. Meeting in city area, prob home around 4pm or so. Dont be worried about pace...theres no pressure at all to keep up. We're not motogp riders so please dont be intimidated if your on ur L's. The more the merrier.

Ok now for the ride report. After me rocking up an hour late do to last minute rushes to get my bike back together..we headed out through kinglake to whittlesea. Then all the way through the black spur to marysville. Unfortunetly Sobil thought he was superman, lowsided the bike and flew over a bit of a drop. As far as I know...he only sustained a nasty gash to the knee. Hope your everythings alright mate. Ill let him describe the rest of the info. fancy seeing u post a ride grendal...lol anyway...was a gret ride up until that point....the guy on the hayabusa caught up with us pretty quick n told me "ur mate came off back in the bushes" n he went to tell one of the other riders "he came off n is prolly dead"....not very nice. anyway....good to c plenty of ppl stoppin to help etc...inlcuding the family in the 4wd.... hope to hear from ya soon sobil...get well soon...give us a yell if u need a hand fixing the bike....oh n happy 21st on weds...! dave
where did it happen?? That section between Marysville and reefton is HAIRY in a few spots (the bit with the yellow lines especially) - hope you're on the mend sobil.
I just went to see him this afternoon, at Maroondah hospital. he's been on general anaesthetic and pain killers. His knee looks pretty nasty.. i think he tore the tendon on his knee and has a few minor grazes. Doctors have been cleaning up his wound but if its still infected.. they're gonna have to open the wound up again.. if this is the result.. he could spend up to another 2 weeks in hospital. He says that his bike is pretty messed up. I think his days of riding is gonna come to an end, even though he just got his learners. As a close friend i know what he is uncapable of and he isnt going to last on a bike.. He is very lucky Anyway I hope he recovers very soon.
Thanks for the post on Sobil's condition, iplaya. Please let him know that we are concerned and hope for a speedy recovery.

Ok, spoke to SOBIL last night..He is still in hospital recovering. His tendon above his knee was 3/4 severed. His doing fine, they just need to keep opening the wound to clean..then stick up. Unfortunetly he was in hospital for his 21st...So Happy Bday mate, u'll just have to have a major party when u get out to make up for it <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt=":lol:" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: --> .Hopefully the off hasn't discouraged u too much about riding. Just need to take it a little easier <!-- s --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cool.gif" alt="" title="Cool" /><!-- s --> . He said he should be out in about 3-4 days, so hopefully all goes well
