Hi All, I am having a carb problem for months now. I think this is common thing with bandit. I took my bike to mechanic and he needed the carb kit which I ordered from litetek. Excellent service. But I also need one other part. I don't know the part name so I am attaching it. Does anybody knows where can I buy it?

    Hi Thomas,
Your kit will be posted today.

He wants the slide housings, and they are not listed as a separate part. Maybe buy an FZR part and see if it is the same.

Note that even though they are split, the o-ring will still seal and provided the slides do not stick, all might be well.
    cheers

Had the exact same problem myself (GSF250V 2000). To resolve I purchased a whole second set of carbs from the wreckers (VicMotorcycle) for about $250 since Raceway Suzuki could only get them imported and I had to buy a whole new carb at $150 each in order to get just that one part. I believe the carbs would also be the same as on the red-top accross, but suspect you'll still have to go via Japan to find new bits for them. I am now strongly considerring getting the things plastic welded as this seems like the only way we're going to get a viable fix at a reasonable price. If it was just the one you were after I'd have been happy to trade, but sadly from that photo you clearly need all 4.

Dear Blair, thanks a lot for the help. I hope the kit will help out.

Timmsy - It looks like you had you share of problems with the bandit. For me to find any part has been an adventure especially the carb parts. This bike, when I bought it, was kept under rain, dust and all kind of hush weather conditions and I can honestly say I still didn't enjoy the drive on ti, fully. Every time I had to stop or slow down I wasn't sure will I be able to get back into traffic. So I hope at least when the carb parts are replaced It will run smoothly. Let's see......Thanks all....

Timssy, yes I need all four and it would be too much to spend 300 USD on that!!!

With the Carbs, way back when I was looking, I did come across a web site which sold rebuild kits, but as the site was in Japanese & I can't read that, and google had little hope of a readable translation, there was no point. I basically hunted for the carb make, model & bore size rather than using any specific bike details. Good luck with the hunt. Cheers
