Hey Guys,

I am going for a ride this saturday and was wondering if any of you sydney locals are keen on joining me.

I was planning on going along the old pacific highway near Mt White.
there is a long windy 30km stretch that is heaps of fun on the bike.

The road is pretty much dominated by motorcyclists and is great to check out some of the other machines.

Another option to make a really long ride out of it is to go all the way out to Wisemans Ferry and finish up at Mt White.

It is also not to far for any riders from Newcastle who want to meet us at Mt White

Let me know

Fletch

I am fine to head off any time between 9am and 1pm
I have got nothing to do for the whole day so I am fine with any time.
Are you doing shift work?

im not working on the sat, but i have a party to go to in Newcastle Fri night, so it all depends on what time i get back and get my bike (and if im hungover) as to whether i can make it. For now i'll say im an outta, but i might go for a ride up there anyway.

hey fletch, i'm not going to newcastle anymore, so i'm going on the ride.

I'm meeting up with some guys from ORoadSports.com at the Throttle Stop on the old pacific hwy at Bewrowra at 9:30am, so if you come i'll see you there.
Otherwise we'll be at the Road Warriors cafe at Mt White around 10:30am.

hope to see you there.

hey Fletch i didn't see you today, did you go??
I did see a white/purple/orange coloured FZR250, was that you?

Had an awesome time up there today, gotta love those corners, so much better / friendlier than the National Park.
Even managed to scratch the toe sliders on my boots.
Us sydney riders will have to do it sometime, its great, especially if you're following someone who knows the road, you can just follow their line.

Had a look at my tyres this afternoon when i got home, both sides have some serious scrubbing on them.

Yep that was me. (Blue purple and white) I did not get to the cafe till about 11:30-12
Was that your red and white fzr?
I did a few runs and had a ball, it is a great road.
Is that the first time that you have been on it?
Did you get your photo taken by the photographer?
If you did I picked up his card so I can post his details. (he just takes a couple of days to get them up). I just found a picture he took of me a couple of weeks ago, his photos are awsome.

I just did the Old Road on Sunday the 7th of November with gsk on his new R6 and a friend of his. It was awesome! The road is much different to RNP, a lot smoother and the corners are longer. We went all the way to Gosford. Then on the way back stopped at Roadwarriors where I saw one OroadSports dude. Watch out for the police on the straights though, saw an undercover pulling over bikies about a km from Roadwarriors!

Btw my bike is back on the road . Had to replace the right hand steering bar, straighten out the top fairing, buy a new windscreen and a new indicator. I've sent a letter to the council and am still awaiting a reply.

So who's up for an Old Road run this coming Sunday the 14th? FLETCH and greeny you better be in!

I have a uni exam next week so I will be studying most of the weekend.
But I am staying saturday night somewhere near gosford, So I will be on the road late saturday afternoon and then again early sunday morning.
Let me know when you will be on the road.
About the cops, word is that they sit on the straights, mainly at that spot and on some of the bridges. A regular rider told me that they can't really get you on the bends because they have to lock on to you for about 2 seconds, I have no idea if this is true or not. So enjoy the bends but be really carefull on the straights. They are there every weekend so be aware, they also check rego and do RBT's.
