The Tamworth District Antique Bike Club held their annual rally this weekend. Bit chilly but friendly people, good roads, top tucker all made for a good weekend. Not many 250's, a few Japanese, mostly pommie bikes with a few Europeans. Honda CB250T from 1977. Jawa 250 Californian 1968 Douglas 350cc flat twin from 1923. Broke a valve on Friday and went home on the trailer. Some 500cc single bikes. A Moto Guzzi 500cc Falcone from the 1950's. Old mate towed his bike in style with this 1953 Ford Prefect. Tasty 1976 BMW R90s A mint 500cc Vincent Comet from 1958 The sound from this CBX1000 with the six pipes need to be heard by everybody.
This years rally was down in numbers due maybe to the snow (pussies). Only 250's were this pair of restored Honda VT250's from '84 and '85. Might be another one there next year. Very tasty Honda CL450 from 1971. Yamaha SR500 and silver Honda CBX1000. Very tidy Honda CB500/4 K2. Honda CB450 K4. Trophy winning Kawasaki H2 750.
And some more. RZ350. !978 Honda CB750F2. My 1982 Honda FT500. Nice Honda 400/4 (with nice lady rider). Yamaha XS650 from 1976. Honda Goldwing 1000 from 1976 . 1973 Honda CB350/4 (not original colour, but looked nice). Original (unrestored) Honda CB350/4 in correct colour. CB900 Bol Dor, complete with oil leak (it embarrassingly left more oil on the ground than the Pommie bikes). Honda CB750/4 K2. There were some Pommie, American, German and Italian bikes there too. A bit of white stuff on the hills put a few off the rides. Bloody cold wind off it.
