Ride/dinner 14th (ie next Saturday) and show Sunday. If your bringing a bike for the show, please have it out front of the post office no later than 8am. The pres of the VJMC is even bringing a couple of bikes down for the weekend.
A few more. Linkin's virgin. The VJMC president brought his GB400. For those that think small things are the way to travel, original Z50 hardtail with an amazing 327.3 miles from new.
the red cbx is owned by gary burgess.the voting was by having a bucket in front of bike for donations. i gave gary 5 cents in his bucket ands he put 60 cents in mine.lol.murdo,s bike was a perfect restoration.good weekend and linkin entered his fizzer.tops to see murdo, grasshopper and linkin. missed grey.
Great work as usual Murdo! Wish I'd been able to make it this year. Unfortunately life got in the way this time around.
Might be able to make it next year. Will definitely try to get involved in any local VJMC events once the dust settles again.
ok the cbx got 34.3 mpg and that means the tank would be bone dry in 150 miles or240 kms.sounded loud at full cry and acceleration between 60 and 80 mph is phenominal.
34.3 mpg is about what my ute gets! That's your heavy right hand Risky. Bit different to the 70+ that the FT500 does.
if i had openned it up the fuel would have been down to 25mpg.heard there was a cbx for sale in a bikeshop in tamworth for 21 thou.
all i can say is pulls like a d9 caterpillar and feels as heavy.one mother of engineering and does it accelarate.braking is a bit of a worry and if you really cane them expect to change a back tyre at around 1500 km,s.looking forward to a luggage rack then riding more regularly.
