GRRRRRRRR I would get shot if I even thought about buying this.. especially as I am bringing home the CB250 tomorrow :)

Actually.. having just had a good look at the ebay listing it is too dear for the amount of work needed.. in good condition they are maybe getting $3200 to $3600 and there is way more than $2K worth of work involved in resurrecting that one.Tell him he's dreamin"

    Yeah they've gotta be delusional.
How is a 16 year old bike "vintage?"

More like "I spent a shipload of money on an old banger with some hipster dude and he made my bike so bad it scares me to ride it".

    Built by Drifter Cycles....

They've confused the term vintage (of the period) with retro (looking back). But I don't mind the look of it, it just has too many zeros in the price tag.

Nah, butchery as far as I am concerned. I do agree that there are too many 00’s in the price but someone will most likely buy it and then throw it down the road when those Firestone’s decide they have had enough fun pretending to be a good tire.

"has custom exhaust, custom air cleaners, "
In other words (knowing how finicky these carbs are) it runs like crap and he's glad to get rid of it cheap. Shame he couldn't have painted it with shiney paint.

Except that it is not a 400EX, that is a quad bike. VTR250 shown in advert.

The "Honda 400EX" is a glitch with Facebook marketplace for some bikes with Honda in the title. And does the same with some Suzuki as "Suzuki aerio" or somesuch...

And it's not just me, it turns out
