Just found this video from my local Yamaha dealer https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=492946617489208
When it comes to outright, whatever you want to call it, this guy has it cornered. Please don't try this at home, nor anywhere else. Now I know you are going to say "yeah it's all fun and games until someone loses an eye". Note that this was in 2011. He has a whole bunch of videos with the Swedish police chasing him in their Volvos.
hopefully this works - pillion passengers anyone https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=818872951572679
Why you should always slow down when a large vehicle is blocking your view of an intersection. White 4x4 is at fault for crossing double lines when turning, and probably not looking for oncoming traffic... but the rider is the one who has to deal with the injuries and smashed bike!!!!
Bike rider is a dick .... he is going straight ahead in a left turn only lane ..... had plenty of time to see the car and travelling too fast for the conditions
Agreed, but the truck is also at fault for blocking view of the intersection... 4wd driver at fault for cutting the double lines in the turn and obviously not looking for oncoming traffic where the truck blocked the view.
Aren't we allowed to cross double lines to drive in or out of driveway? This looks like the entrance of a mall, or parking place. And why would the truck be at fault and blocking the view if he was on his lane (which, by the way, was the only lane there. The bike came from a lane that ended there). All I can see for sure is the rider coming through a lane that turns left, performing an illegal and dangerous overtaking on the truck. The bike rider assumed (wrong idea) that nothing could go wrong. As unpleasant as it might be, we can only blame the rider for poor decisions.
Unfortunately the bike was undertaking - which is a NO-NO if you're going to put yourself into a dangerous situation. There's so many clues there for the rider to see that a vehicle may cross. I does look like he was going quite slowly fortunately because he looks to have swerved to avoid going through the roof of the 4WD, or rather it going through him if you catch my meaning
