That's not right. He's done something stupid. Drag strips are sticky and his rear tyre never broke traction. It looks like he lost the front end.

Most of the time they are.
I raced my XR Fairmont back in the early 90's at AIR, i remember on street tyre's it would wheelspin like crazy trying to get off the line
I solved that problem by fitting McCreary race tyre's to the back of my car and used some lower diff gear's
Watch the H2R take of a few time's and you can see/hear the point it start's to slip, he quickly get's off the throttle then it's too late
As soon as he put's it into second, the front wheel pop's up for a split second then he loses traction again and it goes pear shaped

Yep, nothing as stirring as a well tuned two stroke 'on the pipe'. Would like to go to IOM just to listen to them going past. This is close.

That first one is an absolute hoot, possibly the worst of everything I have ever seen...and he uses the video as an ad - breathtaking

That's the best collection of the worst corner entry lines, entry speed, brake control, throttle control and total lack of basic good judgement I have seen in ages

    Love it

OK so now I do get it given that you've explained it, I do feel a bit dim for not having recognised it, but in my defence it's the first of his videos I've seen
