Hello all, some of you might remember me from a few months back, i owned an ill-fated FZR that cost me a fortune and then blew up
anywho, after the FZR went bang, i had no bike, and no money to fix the FZR or buy a new bike. so seeing as how the Bank Of Mother were willing to lend me money, i decided i couldnt risk buying another potentially disasterous 15 year old import, so i bought a 2002 Suzuki Bandit 600.

It was restricted to 33bhp (and waaaay slower than a FZR), which meant that the insurance was only slightly higher than it was on the Fizzer.

i've since had it derestricted to unleash all 78bhp, and i love it.

i still miss the FZR and am sad i never got to really enjoy it or learn to ride it fast, so sad that infact ill probably buy another one if i get the chance!

to finish, here's a pic of my tragic 250, and one of my Bandit!

What really matters is that you are still on two wheels.

But the FZR still looks better. [IMG]

from what I hear the bandit won't give you anywhere near the trouble the fzr did - they are supposed to be one of the most reliable bikes out there.

Glad to hear you are on the road again.

in all the times ive posted that pic on many forums, you're the first person to ask that! he's the resident wierdo in these parts, goes running sideways for a few hours every night!

cheers for the compliments lads, she doesnt look as good as the FZR but its a lot more comfortable than the FZR for a big-ish lad like me, i found the FZR to be quite cramped, but the sound of 18k rpm of mental Yamaha engine made up for that. im kinda afraid if i rode an FZR now it'd seem slow cause the Bandit pulls to 160kph in 3rd in no time. top speed isnt much up on the 250, the most i've see on the clock is 210kph and that kinda speed isnt very comfortable on a naked bike.
