hi everyone. i have seen an ungaraged, unused near my neighbourhood and i'm very tempted to ask the owner if he/she wants to sell it. but before that i need some opinions if it's such a good idea to buy an ungaraged bike. i think the bike would be rough...rusty bolt etc... and what price would be fair for an ungaraged cbr? thanks a lot for any comments
Hey yong Interesting question, my old Spada was left to the elements for about 18 months before I bought it, the vinyl seat was perished but everything else was okay and it scrubbed up really well and became my dailly rider for 4 months. I did buy a Kwakka ZZR250 that sat outside for 12 months and again the seat had perished, the fuel had broken down into a white mush and the petcock and carbies were beyond repair. The master cylinder for the front brake seized and the switch blocks no longer worked. I guess its the luck of the draw. As for what a bike is worth if its been sitting for an extended period, I guess that is up to the owner thanks Chris
