I’ve been thinking of doing this thread for a while now, so let’s see if it flies or crashes & burns…

The name of the game is “guess the bike”. Simple rules…
    1. Must be a real rideable bike (manufactured or raced; no concept or movie bikes etc)
    2. Can be any capacity
    3. Must have 2 wheels
    4. You must post one image of some part of the bike that will help to identify it
    5. Experienced and motorcycle-worldly fork should give the other players a 24 hour period before answering.
    6. If no-one correctly identifies the bike, then after 48 hours forum members can ask yes/no questions and the poster must reply to the best of their knowledge. E.g. was it made in Japan? Answer: YES
    7. If no-one correctly identifies the bike after a one week period, the poster can identify it and put us out of our misery.
    8. Multiple streams can run at the same time. e.g. you don't need to wait for one quiz to finish.
    9. You don't need to identify down to the individual build unless the poster asks for it. e.g 1990-1991 Yamaha FZR250 as opposed to 1990 Yamaha FRZ250 L3N1-12.
    10. The poster can give clues as part of the initial post. E.g. as follows
    What bike is this?

    What Bike is that 001.jpg

    It's a late 1980's bike. It's a V-twin with a wasted spark system, that doesn't waste the spark

Looks like "crash & burn" for this thread.

    @kiffsta has picked it. It's a 1988 Honda NT650 Bros.

I wondered how many people would have seen a 3-valve head with twin spark plugs per each cylinder...looks like a few have. Well done to all who played or at least had a think about it.

Most of the online specs for the Bros (NT650 & NT400) don't mention the 3-valve head or the twin spark setup. I know it's not unique, but it's not a common configuration.

Did that bike have a single-sided swingarm?

I play this game often, by myself, in the shed. I'll pick up a part and think "that was the kick start lever off the rmx250" or "that was the side stand from the zzr600." And the quiz that everyone else plays is "why haven't you thrown that out, yet?"
