Just for those that have a little hissy fit about where stuff is made.
I had to replace the carb float in the Briggs and Stratton engine of my lawn mower today and look what is on the packet. Good American made engine, yes, but their spares are made in China. :fuckyou:

    And another one.
SKF (a Swedish company) made in China.
Note lack of grease in bearing.

When I went and got new bearings and races for the camper trailer , the bearing man pissed himself laughing when I gave him the old ones to match .. he said they are made in Australia so would be 30+ years old :lolsign:

He reckons bearings are all made in Europe now .... the new ones were packed as a kit (for a FORD hub) and have no country of origin on the packet ... might be stamped on the actual bearing but Im not pulling them out to check :fuckyou:

The Timkin hub grease I purchased at the same time is made in Thailand

I need to fit a collet chuck to my lathe for the re-sleeving of emulsion tubes idea. @GreyImport is still waiting. Hope we don't die before I get there. :)
Anyway I bought a Chinese ER40 to try because it was cheap and I am poor.
First check the spindle runout on my Taiwanese lathe. I knew it would be good because it comes with a certificate of inspection that lists everything, but want to check anyway.

    First the bore

    Then the face

Well that is impressive. How about the Chinese collet chuck? Might make a nice paperweight.

Ive been on a bit of support aussie business of late(note not made in Australia, just sold by). About 1/2 of the aus ebay sellers (bike bits) are either in china or drop ship ...so now if they have more then 2000 feedback I move on to the next supplier :D
I dont have a problem with Chinese made stuff, just the quality control or the lack there of.....
